It is becoming more and more obvious that mobile apps are the centre of focus through every platform at the moment. The data available show that usage of mobile, in the U.S. as an example, is 51% in comparison to desktop where it is 42% meaning that if you are not getting to audiences through mobile or you are not giving the users a good mobile experience then you will miss out from others that are covering this part better.
Bearing in mind that the internet only celebrated its 25th birthday this year, it is truly amazing how far things have come technologically speaking – we can now access the internet on our phones, on tablets, on our TVs, on game consoles……. Information is literally at our fingers tips, whether it is a telephone number you need to look up, directions you need to find, or catching up on the daily news.
This behavioural shift in the way that we consume content online, wherever we are, means that regardless of device, we expect the same or a similar user experience, as if we were viewing a site on a desktop or laptop.
